    This week-long summer camp will explore light and color in a unique way! Using black lights, neon paints, and vibrant colors, students will create work that glows in the dark under UV light!     August's Thursday Painting class will be inspired by Cedar Lee - a contemporary fine artist based out of Portland, Oregon. Her art is heavily focused on flora and fauna, capturing luminous tree canopies and detailed animal portraits. In this class, we will be using her painting "Brilliance" as inspiration to create our own image of the bright sun shining through columns of trees. Students will learn to paint texture and light through the foundations of acrylic painting. This class is suitable for all levels of artist and will be completed on a 12"x24" canvas, ready to hang on your wall.

Learn about the history and architecture of the Lake Mansion, as well as its significance in the history of the City of Reno. Your guide, courtesy of the Historic Reno Preservation Society, will take you on a trip to the past and enhance your knowledge of local history.
