    In this month's Art Labs, we will be exploring mandalas and creating different forms of mandalas with all sorts of mediums, from yarn, drawing mediums, painting mediums, and more. Mandalas are circular patterns that have great spiritual meaning in cultures across the world, representing interconnectedness, meditativeness, spirituality, and creativity. This class is perfect for any creative kiddos who want to explore shapes, patterns, and meaning behind their art.

    In May's art labs, we will be learning all about Henri Matisse and his artworks. Matisse was a famous French artist, and a leading figure in the modern art movement. He is known for his bold colors, surrealist composition, and vibrant collages filled with movement and organic shapes. This preteen series will be perfect for any young art aficionados, or any students who would be interested in learning about modern art and abstraction in a fun and creative environment.

    Join us at the Lake Mansion with preteen Art Labs where we will be exploring optical illusions and how to draw them! In addition, we will work with different mediums to create optical illusions, zentangles and zendoodles to create visually appealing pieces of art!

    In February's Art Lab, students will celebrate creativity and kindness through making art! Using a variety of materials and techniques, students will create heartfelt projects perfect for sharing with friends and family. From colorful cards to fun decorations, each activity encourages imagination, self-expression, and a little bit of love! This series is ideal for young artists who love to craft and spread joy.

  • Tuesdays: April 7th - May 26th. 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The best after-school program—Art Adventures!  Your child, ages 6-10 years old, will creatively explore and adventure through different art mediums and techniques each week while having some after-school fun.     It's spring break, but many animals are still hibernating! Let's keep stay cozy with fun art projects like creating our own stuffies out of felt and embroidery, drawing and coloring clothing, or painting a warm scene. This creativity camp will be great fun and keep your kids creative during the break from school through creation of masterpieces both individually and as a group, while having fun and making friends along the way!

    Join us for a Spring Break Camp where we will celebrate the spring equinox, the time of year when day is as long as night, by making art about light! We will work with a wide variety of media and learn a variety of techniques as we experiment with watercolor, acrylic painting, mixed media and more. We'll be sure to make a 3-dimensional sculpture that lights up this special time of year. Dress comfortably for artistic exploration!

    As spring draws close, we will create art themed around the different animals that come from eggs! Birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and insects will all be subjects of the art made by your child. We will explore lots of art mediums and methods to create our fun and cute egg-themed artwork! Your child will make art both individually and as a group, all while having fun and making friends along the way! Dress comfortably for artistic exploration!
