Thursday Painting Class: Gentle Giant by Cheri Sperle

In this month's acrylic painting class, we will be painting Cheri Sperle's "Gentle Giant." Students will learn to use gentle brushstrokes to create wispy texture, mix color to achieve realistic result, and use composition to create visually appealing works of art. With step-by-step instruction from our Teaching Artist, this painting is suitable for all levels of acrylic artist and will be done on 16x20" canvases, ready to hang at home! This painting class is perfect for any level of artist who loves cats.
All supplies included. This is a step-by-step class, so please arrive by the stated start of class; late arrivals may miss steps that can’t be revisited.
Ages 14 and up.

In this family workshop, students will learn to dye, cut and sculpt simple coffee filters into a gorgeous and delicate flowers. At the end of this workshop, you will have a handmade eternal bouquet of flowers, ready to bring joy into your space at home, or to give as a gift to brighten someone's day!

In this family workshop, you and your little one will work with watercolor and wax crayons to create a vibrant and fun work of art! In this workshop, you will see how watercolor reacts with wax to reveal patterns underneath a marbling of pigment. Art Labs: Mixed Media Mandalas

In this month's Art Labs, we will be exploring mandalas and creating different forms of mandalas with all sorts of mediums, from yarn, drawing mediums, painting mediums, and more. Mandalas are circular patterns that have great spiritual meaning in cultures across the world, representing interconnectedness, meditativeness, spirituality, and creativity. This class is perfect for any creative kiddos who want to explore shapes, patterns, and meaning behind their art.
