This six-week watercolor journey is designed to guide students from the foundational flow of water and pigment to the intricate details of botanical expression. Through gentle structure, skill-building exercises, and blooming confidence, students will learn to work with watercolor, embracing its spontaneity while gaining control. Each week builds on the last, blending technical exercises with creative expression. This class is ideal for beginners who have never picked up a brush, and for intermediate painters seeking to deepen their understanding and loosen their hand.

Discover the freedom of abstract painting in this three-session workshop, where you'll create expressive works using acrylic on raw canvas. Through the color staining technique, you'll explore how paint soaks, spreads, and flows, creating organic, dynamic compositions that feel both spontaneous and intentional. In session one, you'll experiment with color theory and mini abstracts to test combinations and techniques. Session two focuses on painting a 16x20 piece, allowing colors to blend and interact freely. In the final session, you'll stretch your raw canvas onto a wooden frame, transforming it into a finished artwork. This technique is fluid, freeing, and fun, perfect for both beginners and experienced artists. There are no rigid rules—just an opportunity to let go, be present, and enjoy the creative process. Many students find it meditative and relaxing, a great way to unwind and connect with their artistic intuition. All supplies included.Instructor: Karena EliseAges 14 and up. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
