Join us at the Lake Mansion for another acrylic painting class! This month, for Artown, we are doing a painting inspired by Erin Hanson's Tahoe Dawn. Participants will learn brushstroke, color mixing, composition, and more to achieve the fluffy clouds and crystalline waters of this beautiful painting of Lake Tahoe.

Join us at the Lake Mansion for another Thursday Painting Class! This May, we'll be replicating Mother with Long Dark Hair and Baby by Utah-based artist Loretta Reyes-Cairo, whose work explores themes of motherhood, spirituality, and love. In this acrylic painting class, you'll learn how to create impressionistic brushstrokes and achieve a balance of soft light and shadows. This is the perfect opportunity to create a heartfelt Mother's Day gift, and the class is open to all levels of acrylic artists.

Join us at the Lake Mansion for another Thursday Painting class! This month, we will be completing a painting inspired by House Plant by Alex Black. The subject is simple, but uses techniques such as form, brushstroke, and light to capture the simplicity in this painting. Participants will leave this class with a beautiful botanical piece of art. This class will feature step-by-step instruction, and is suitable for all levels of acrylic artists.

August's Thursday Painting class will be inspired by Cedar Lee - a contemporary fine artist based out of Portland, Oregon. Her art is heavily focused on flora and fauna, capturing luminous tree canopies and detailed animal portraits. In this class, we will be using her painting "Brilliance" as inspiration to create our own image of the bright sun shining through columns of trees. Students will learn to paint texture and light through the foundations of acrylic painting. This class is suitable for all levels of artist and will be completed on a 12"x24" canvas, ready to hang on your wall.

This week-long summer camp will explore the connections we can make between music and art! Students will create music-themed art, explore different genres and the colors and patterns we associate with them, and much more! Using a variety of artistic media, campers will leave each day with detailed projects to proudly display at home. Dress comfortably for artistic exploration! Ages: 6-10All supplies included. Through 2D and 3D projects, kids will create artwork inspired by various art museums. Join us at the Lake Mansion for a week of art-themed summer camp for preteens! This week, we will be diving into the art of printmaking: sketching, carving, and transferring designs onto paper. Campers will explore different printmaking methods to create patterns, stamps, and original artworks, and will leave the camp with several of their own designs and inspiration to create more.
