Each attendee will receive one blank mask to decorate on site (or at home with your own materials). The materials we will provide in this workshop are below:

Join us for another Acrylic Painting Class! For Black History Month, we are highlighting Lillian Thomas Burwell, a prominent painter and sculptor renowned for her use of abstraction in her artwork. Her painting "Joy" showcases this interest in the abstract, while also conveying serenity through organic shapes and brushstrokes. Students in this class will learn basics of color mixing in this almost monochrome palette, as well as how to use a reference photo to replicate images on canvas. Each student will leave with a completed 16x20 painting on canvas, ready to hang at home. This class is suitable for all levels of acrylic artist.

In this four-week series, each session will guide you through the foundational techniques of mark-making, blending, and how to create depth, value, and texture.
