August’s Thursday Painting class will be inspired by Cedar Lee – a contemporary fine artist based out of Portland, Oregon. Her art is heavily focused on flora and fauna, capturing luminous tree canopies and detailed animal portraits. In this class, we will be using her painting “Brilliance” as inspiration to create our own image of the bright sun shining through columns of trees. Students will learn to paint texture and light through the foundations of acrylic painting. This class is suitable for all levels of artist and will be completed on a 12″x24″ canvas, ready to hang on your wall.
