Family Arts Festivals and Fundraiser2025-04-22T11:49:06-07:00

We have four events spread throughout the year — our Festivals (Youth Art Festival on March; Summer Family Arts Festival on July; Holiday Family Arts Festival on November), and our Annual Fundraiser. For events like these, we need volunteers who can help our teaching artists as they guide our guests, mostly children, make simple art; welcome visitors; take photos; or help make sales.

If you like the arts and want to share that enjoyment with families, this is the place for you! With our annual art festivals, we are always looking for people who are excited about talking to children and adults about art and creativity.

Lake Mansion: Guided Tours, and Preservation and Maintenance2025-04-22T11:56:49-07:00

We offer guided tours of the Lake Mansion during Artown, and we have volunteers for this. A love of history and a welcoming personality are a must, and duties include greeting visitors to the Lake Mansion, as well as leading groups of children and adults on a Guided Tour. Training is provided.

In addition, a structure as old and large as the Lake Mansion requires many hands to keep up with maintenance and cleaning.  Unlike modern homes, the Lake Mansion’s unique, historic architecture will make you fall in love with maintaining and keeping the house in great condition.

Arts Classes and Weekly Wonders2025-04-22T11:54:23-07:00

Art classes and camps take place throughout the year and our teaching artists are always happy to have a helper. Aside from working with the kids or adults who sign up for the classes, you will get to learn from the teaching artist as you assist.

Aside from art classes, we also offer Weekly Wonders, our ongoing, 90-minute workshop for teens and adults with intellectual disabilities. We need volunteers who can be Teaching Artist Assistants to help guide our wonderful artists. Weekly Wonders workshops are held from 3:00 to 4:30pm in four different locations: Lake Mansion (Mondays), Larry D Johnson Community Center in Sparks (Thursdays), Makers Paradise at the Reno Public Market (Fridays), and Douglas County Senior Center in Gardnerville (Wednesdays).

“rich in art” license plaTe

The “Rich in Art” license plate, created in 1997, is a partnership between Arts for All Nevada and the Nevada Arts Council to raise funds for children’s art programming in Nevada and to raise awareness of the importance of arts in Nevada for everyone.

Many Arts for All Nevada programs are funded by your purchase of the “Rich in Art” license plate including the Artist in Residency Program, which places teaching artists in special education classrooms with no cost to the schools, the Firefighter’s annual holiday party for homeless youth, and scholarships for after-school programs, creativity camps, and classes.

thank you for your support

As a community-based organization, Arts for All Nevada depends on support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations across Nevada. Our partners make it possible to provide arts opportunities to all and to preserve and maintain the historic Lake Mansion.
