EVENT : FREE Summer Art Festival at the historic Lake Mansion
EVENT DATE: Saturday, July 21 at 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
LOCATION: 250 Court St. at Arlington Ave, on the main floor of “Reno’s First Address”, the Lake Mansion built in 1877 and listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Free parking lot off of Arlington Avenue.
Join us for our annual Summer Art Festival between 9 AM – 2 PM! It’s FREE and part of the ARTOWN Festival celebration! No registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Parking is available in AFAN’s lot off Arlington Ave. in addition to street meter parking or free public parking 2 blocks east at Sierra St. and Court St.
-Eight creative art stations for kids to make and take art home
-Free book for each child
–Tours of the historic Lake Mansion
-Patty Cafferata, historian and author will be available to answer questions and to sign her many historical building books including Lake Mansion: Home to Reno’s Founding Families.
Did you know that AFAN conducts art workshops in over 100 general and special education classrooms? We do! AFAN is the only northern Nevada arts organization with such an extensive program providing quality art experience for students and training classroom teachers to utilize the arts across their curriculum. AFAN is at the forefront transforming STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) into STEAM – adding the “A” for Art!

Arts for All Nevada was incorporated in 1986 with a mission to provide arts access for ALL. As the owner of the Lake Mansion, Arts for All Nevada is responsible for the thoughtful preservation and year-round use of the mansion as a cultural and historic site.
