October 3-7, 4:30-6pm
Young art lovers and artists, come and explore lesser known (but just as impactful) female artists from the 20th-21st century. These artists make big statements with their colorful, unique, and sometimes primitive pieces and we are excited to spend a week exploring their work.
In this week long class, students will explore and experience the work and techniques of different modern and contemporary female artists. After an introduction to and open discussion of the artist’s life and work, students will use their techniques to experiment in creating their own works of art to take home each night.
Alma Thomas, Louise Bourgeois, Mary Blair, Yayoi Kusama, and Faith Ringgold
All supplies included. Recommended ages 8-12.
