A Taste of Reno Open Studios …Explore, Engage, Experience

Kick-off the annual Reno Open Studios tour (9/30, 10/1, 10/2)
by viewing selected pieces on exhibit and for sale at the historic Lake Mansion

(Reno, Nev.) Nearly a decade ago Reno Open Studios was established by a group of local working artists to bring the public and artists together. Our mission is to show not only their art, but also the creative process. This year, there are 40 artists participating in the tour. Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 4:30 PM, individual artist’s chosen preview pieces will be on exhibit and for sale at Arts for All Nevada allowing visitors to determine their upcoming “can’t miss” art studios September 30, October 1-2. Reno Open Studios is an opportunity to visit 40 artists in working studios and see how they work. You will learn what inspires them, witness their techniques and be stimulated by their passion for the creative process. It’s a myriad of art to be enjoyed and purchase. Medias include: oil-watercolor-acrylic paintings, jewelry, photography, printmaking, ceramic art, pottery, pyrography- gourd-metal-wood sculptures, pastel, mosaic, baskets, multi-media, handmade paper, glass beads and art glass.

In addition to the featured show, visitors can tour the historic Lake Mansion while enjoying and purchasing work from Arts for All Nevada’s year-round Art Access Gallery. The historic Lake Mansion, built in 1877 and listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places is located on the corner of Court St. and Arlington Ave., one block south of the Truckee River. Free parking is available in the Lake Mansion lot off Arlington Ave.

Arts for All Nevada features a year-round calendar of affordable open-to-the-public classes, camps and art festivals for children and adults.
